About Tanzanite

Why we love this gem:

Tanzanite is found in only one place on Earth, Tanzania, Africa and is estimated to be 1,000 times rarer than diamond. Geologists believe the only known source may be depleted within our lifetime, making it truly the gemstone of this generation. Its exceptional rarity and demand led to its addition as an official December birthstone in 2002, the first new birthstone added since 1912.
