We are proud to feature and list the work of Esmarie du Plooy, a master goldsmith with over 35 years of experience. Inspired by her Free State childhood spent collecting seedpods, leaves, and pebbles, Esmarie transforms nature’s delicate details into timeless, handcrafted jewellery.

Using traditional goldsmithing and the ancient lost-wax casting method, she preserves the organic beauty of seed pods, twigs, and botanical forms crafting them in sterling silver, gold, bronze, and other fine metals, often enhanced with gemstones, pearls, or textured finishes.

Each piece tells a story, from the resilience of the spekboom to the nostalgia of eucalyptus pods. Her work captures nature’s quiet wisdom, creating wearable art that is both meaningful and unforgettable.

Esmarie also shares her craft through custom designs, workshops, heirloom redesigns, and special commission pieces. Her creations are made with care, rich in symbolism, and designed to be cherished for years to come.
